Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 Service Bulletin: Torque Requirements – Capstone 60 MicroTurbine Tools Required ‰ 10-mm Wrench or Socket ‰ #2 Phillips Screw Driver ‰ Torque Wrench with 45 lb-in Setting (e.g., Sears P/N 44593) ‰ #3 Phillips Driver for Torque Wrench (e.g., Sears P/N 44372) ‰ 10-mm Socket for Torque Wrench (e.g., Sears P/N 44302) ‰ 6 to 8-inch Socket Extension (e.g., Sears P/N 44261) ‰ 5/16-inch Allen Wrench (for opening the MicroTurbine front door to access the battery pack) Safety Precautions Only Capstone Authorized Service Providers (ASP’s) should open the MicroTurbine enclosure or peripheral equipment connected to the MicroTurbine. The systems can include multiple sources of power. Observe and adhere to the Safety Precautions listed below when servicing your MicroTurbine. Read and become familiar with the General Safety Precautions and Instructions contained within the Installation and Start-up Manual. Before servicing: ‰ AlwayschecktoensurethatyourMicroTurbineisde-energized from the utility. Isolate and lock out the utility (if applicable). ‰ Isolateandlockoutanyothersourcesofpowerto MicroTurbines, Auxiliary Load Controller (ALC) and Dual Mode Controller (DMC). For example, connections to the solid state relays in the MicroTurbine Communications Bay. ‰ OpentheStandAlonebatterycircuitbreaker,lockitintheOFF position, and then unplug the battery cable. ‰ Waitatleast15minutesafterdisconnectionfromutilitybefore servicing to allow for electrical energy dissipation. ‰ Verifythatnovoltageispresentonanyelectricalterminals. ‰ Neverworkonenergizedequipment. 513016-001 (Sept 2001) Page 2 of 8 Service Bulletin SB0026.
