Be sure to read and comply with these instructions. Affected All Capstone 60 MicroTurbines with Serial Numbers 001935 and lower will be affected. Adherence to torque requirements will serve to ensure top performance of your MicroTurbine. Summary It has been found that the IGBT DC bus connections on Capstone 60 MicroTurbines have not been tightened to the specified torque value. The existing torque used is 21 lb-in. The specified torque value is 45 lb-in. Over time, these connections may become loose and contribute to the IGBT failures. The following procedure explains how to re-tighten the IGBT connections to the specified torque value of 45 lb-in. 513016-001 (Sept 2001) Page 1 of 8 Service Bulletin SB0026.
