SERVICE BULLETIN Accomplishment Instructions This section contains instructions necessary to perform the cooling fan and controller PCBA installation procedures for the BCT Power PCBA. These instructions are comprised of Disassembly, Cleaning, Check/Inspection, Assembly, and Testing procedures. Conduct maintenance operations in a clean dust-free and well-lighted area using tooling and equipment as specified to avoid damage to delicate components. Always wear a properly grounded static dissipation strap when handling sensitive electronic components. Retain all parts removed for use at assembly, unless otherwise specified. Discard all parts as noted in this Service Bulletin. As parts are removed, identify them and place them in clean, protective containers. Refer to the Material Information sheet at the end of this document for a detailed listing of all items necessary for use during the disassembly procedures. Prior to Servicing Read and become familiar with the General Safety Precautions and Instructions contained within the Capstone MicroTurbine Installation and Start-up Manual. The MicroTurbine enclosure should be opened only by Capstone Authorized Service Providers. The system can include multiple sources of power. Before servicing the MicroTurbine: 1. Command the MicroTurbine system to OFF. 2. Open and lock the dedicated disconnect switch to isolate the MicroTurbine from the utility grid or loads. 3. Turn off the battery circuit breaker. Open the bat- tery isolation switch and unplug the battery cable. 4. Wait five (5) minutes. 5. Verify with a multimeter that no voltage is present on any electrical terminals. 6. Open the enclosure to gain access to the Battery Controller Transient unit. WARNING: Check to ensure that the MicroTurbine has been removed from service prior to performing these procedures. Turn off all input power and disconnect all incoming fuel sources. Exercise extreme care when handling these items to avoid injury to personnel or damage to components. Injury or death can result from mishandling these parts. Disassembly Disassemble components as follows: 1.
