SERVICE BULLETIN Planning Information This section contains information necessary to determine if this Service Bulletin is applicable for the user of the Battery Controller Transient (BCT) and the BCT Power PCBA. Effectivity This Service Bulletin is applicable to BCT power board assemblies that exhibit overheating during normal operation. Accomplishment of this procedure will serve to extend the service life of the BCT by installing a new cooling fan and a new controller board onto the power board assembly. Description This Service Bulletin presents information sufficient to allow the user to install a new cooling fan and a new controller board. This procedure should be accomplished once, and will serve to extend the service life of the unit. Manpower This action may be accomplished by one technician within approximately one hour, assuming that the MicroTurbine has already been removed from service. Tooling - Availability No special tooling, other than normal shop equipment, is required to perform the procedures contained within this Service Bulletin. Test Equipment- Availability Test equipment required to perform the procedures contained in this Service Bulletin is listed on the Material Information sheet at the end of this document. Electrical Load Data No changes to the standard electrical operating parameters for the Capstone MicroTurbine are affected by this Service Bulletin. References Information for preparation of this Service Bulletin was provided by Capstone. The procedures contained herein, may be accomplished without regard to other general or specific maintenance documentation.
