Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 • USA Application Notes: Fuel Gas Booster Installation Instructions – Model C60 LPNG The Fuel Gas Booster may be supplied with an optional Installation and Maintenance Tool Kit comprised of various tools, including a hand pump and lubricating fluid. These tools, in addition to the Maintenance Parts Kit are used to maintain the Fuel Gas Booster at optimum efficiency. Each site should have at least one Fuel Gas Booster Installation and Maintenance Tool Kit plus one Maintenance Parts Kit. Refer to the Fuel Gas Booster Owner's manual for additional information. Safety Precautions Always adhere to the Safety Precautions listed below when servicing your MicroTurbine and associated equipment: 􏰪 AlwaysobservetheappropriateSafetyPrecautions. 􏰪 Never work on energized equipment. Always check for voltages with the proper test equipment. 􏰪 Before servicing, always check to ensure that your MicroTurbine is disconnected from the utility. 􏰪 If the MicroTurbine is equipped with a battery pack (i.e., Stand Alone option), open the battery isolation switch and unplug the battery cable. 􏰪 Wait at least 10 minutes after shutdown and disconnection before servicing. 􏰪 RefertotheMicroTurbineUser’sManualforSafetyInstructions. Software Setup Program the MicroTurbine software before any electrical connections to the Fuel Gas Booster as follows: 1. Ensure that there are no electrical connections between the MicroTurbine and the Fuel Gas Booster. 2. Power up the MicroTurbine. 3. Program the output relays as follows: Using the control panel on the MicroTurbine, proceed as follows: a. On the UCB Relays menu, Relay #1 submenu, set EXT LOAD to ACTIVE CLOSED. b. On the System Settings menu, Fault Input #1 submenu, set Fault Input #1 to ENABLE (Fault signal from FGB). On Fault Input #1 submenu, set SSL to 3 and time to 12 seconds. 4.
