Stand Alone Mode of Operation Troubleshoot the system powered from the battery as follows: 1. Verify Battery Voltage Verify the battery breaker is OFF. Disconnect the battery cable from battery. Attach the DMM probes to Pins 1 & 6 or 3 & 4 on the battery connector (as shown below). Turn ON the battery breaker and measure the battery voltage. It should read above 200 VDC. If voltage is low, connect an external battery charger and recharge the battery for several hours until the current draw drops below 10 mA. Refer to Service Bulletin SB0023 for details. 3. Check BCT Contactor Disconnect the BCT Contactor. Use an external 12VDC power supply and check to see if the Contactor is operational. Replace the Contactor (See Document 513157). 4. Check BCT IGBT Repeat Steps #9, #9A and #9B of the Grid Connect System for BCT Power Board. 5. Check UCB Battery Check and verify the 3VDC lithium battery on the UCB is good.Repair Solution - Replace the battery. 6. Check Low Voltage Power Supply Measure the voltage at modem terminals TB2-4 (+) and TB2-3 (-) on the UCB. It should read 12 to 13.8 VDC. Check Fuses on DPC Power Board Set the DMM to Ohms and measure across each fuse (F1, F2, F500, and F501) on the DPC Power Board. If they do not ring out they are blown. Replace the faulty fuse. Battery Connector Pin Locations 2. Check BCT Power Supply 14 25 36 Check the13.8V indicator (LED 6) on the BCT Power Board in the upper right corner as shown below. If it is not “ON” after a Battery Start command is issued, the problem could be in the BCT Power Board. Replace the BCT Power Board (See Document 513158).
