Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 • USA Technical Reference: Advanced Power Server (APS) This means that a single E-Stop switch can transmit a global emergency stop signal to the maximum allowable combination of 10 C600/C800/C1000 turbines and 20 C65/C200 turbines. However, a MultiPac consisting of 30 C65/C200 turbines would require more than one E-Stop switch. 4.4.4.2 Global E-Stop Installation The APS does not have terminals for an emergency stop connection. Therefore, the E-Stop switch must be connected to a turbine in the MultiPac, with the emergency stop signal transmitted through turbine-to-turbine cable connections. Connect the switch and signal wires as described in the following steps. 1. To connect the E-Stop switch to a C600/C800/C1000 turbine, connect the switch wires to pins TB1-12 and TB1-13 on the C1000 series controller. 2. To connect the E-Stop switch to a C65 or C200 turbine, connect the switch wires to pins J10-8 and J10-9 on the UCB. 5. MultiPac Operation Figure 24 illustrates the capabilities of the APS, which functions as the control center for MultiPac turbines, Capstone accessories, and Modbus-connected systems. Memory in the touch screen computer on the APS contains data files used by the APS software to control turbines that have been configured into groups. To set up and configure turbines into groups requires CRMS-APS software. CRMS-APS also provides more detailed monitoring and control capabilities than are accessible through the APS touch screen. NOTE: Instructions for installing and using CRMS-APS begin on page 46 of this Technical Reference. 410079 Rev.
