Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 • USA Technical Reference: Advanced Power Server (APS) Figure 23. Choke Location on Coaxial Cable 4.4.2.2 Connecting the Coaxial Cables See Figure 19 or Figure 20 for an illustration of APS MultiPac cable connections, and connect the coaxial cables, with chokes installed, as follows: 1. To connect an APS and a C65 or C200 microturbine, connect a coaxial cable from the 10Base-T/10Base-2 converter on the APS to the microturbine UCB connector J2. 2. To connect two C65 or C200 microturbines, connect a coaxial cable from UCB connector J1 on the first microturbine to UCB connector J2 on the next microturbine. 3. To terminate the final 10Base-2 connection, install the 50-Ohm terminator (509932-001) in UCB connector J2. 4.4.3. 10Base-T Ethernet Connections Ethernet communication between the APS and C600/C800/C1000 turbines in the MultiPac uses 10Base-T Category 5 cables. To set up the Ethernet link, connect a Category 5 cable from an available LAN port on the APS to the surge protector U7 on each C1000 series controller in the MultiPac, as shown in Figure 21. Refer to the C1000 Series Technical Reference (410072) for C1000 series controller connection points. 4.4.4. Global E-Stop Connections The following paragraphs describe how to connect the Capstone E-Stop switch (508490-101) to provide a global emergency stop signal for the MultiPac. 4.4.4.1 Global E-Stop Specifications The total number of turbines that can be connected to a single E-Stop switch is as follows: • 25 C65 or C200 microturbines maximum • 10 C600/C800/C1000 turbines maximum 410079 Rev.
