Capstone Service Bulletin SB0058 Date: From: Subject: Affected All Capstone Model C60 MicroTurbine systems identified with Serial Numbers in the following list. Summary On the Model C60 MicroTurbine systems listed below, it is possible that the engine will be stressed beyond the tolerable limits during start-ups, and could result in engine failure. Capstone has modified generator liftoff algorithms in the C60 software version 3.91 to reduce stress imposed on the engine during start-up. To reduce or eliminate occurrence of engine failure in the field, Capstone requires that the software on the following MicroTurbine systems be upgraded to version 3.91 immediately. Failure to upgrade the software may void the warranty.
