Safety Precautions Only Capstone Authorized Serviced Providers (ASPs) should open the MicroTurbine and other equipment connected to the MicroTurbine. The systems can include multiple sources of power. The fuel used by the MicroTurbine is flammable and explosive. Keep flames, cigarettes, sparks, and electrical arc-producing equipment away from the MicroTurbine. Observe and adhere to the Safety Instructions contained within the MicroTurbine documentation. Summary This service bulletin is intended to notify Authorized Service Providers that HRMs shipped between January 2007 and August 2008, either as part of a C65 ICHP MicroTurbine or as a field upgrade to a C60/C65 MicroTurbine, which are in inventory or have not yet been commissioned, require inspection per the instructions provided below. There is potential that a protective cardboard insertion sleeve inside the unit was not removed prior to shipment. Presence of this cardboard insertion sleeve can cause smoking and/or fire in the unit. Units must be inspected for presence of this cardboard insertion sleeve prior to operation.
