The skid can be started locally by pressing the Start icon on the Control page of the display screen or the “Auto Start” button on the control panel door. As soon as the start command is given, the System Status indicator should display “Run”, and the “Run” light on the panel door will illuminate. The order of operation for the skid is as follows. First, the glycol chiller begins to run. The chiller continues to run until the reading from glycol thermocouple, TE 141, drops below 39 ̊F. After the glycol has reached the temperature set point, the skid inlet shut off valve will open, the oil cooler (HX 231) starts, the compressor starts, and gas begins to circulate through the skid. The recirculation modulating valve will begin to close to bring the operating pressure up to its operation range. Then the turbine run permissive contact closes allowing the Micro Turbines to run. After the contact is closed, it will remain closed until the skid shuts down. The recirculation modulating valve (VM 351) will maintain the correct operating pressure at the discharge of the skid. The operating pressure can be adjusted by changing the set-point. Press the Settings icon on the bottom of the display screen to go to the Settings page, on the Settings page press the set-point window to enter the desired operating pressure. Shutdown Procedure: The skid can be stopped by pressing the red “Auto Stop” button located on the panel door, or by touching the Stop icon on the Control page of the display screen. Both stop commands work exactly the same. The skid enters a shutdown sequence which takes several seconds to complete. The system cannot be re-started until the stop sequence has timed out, as shown by the System Status indicator on the display screen. Emergency Stop Procedure: Should an emergency situation arise, while the gas compression skid is operating, press the local “Master Stop” button located on the control panel door or the remote “Master Stop” button located on Section 3 Start up / Shutdown Procedures Page 2PDF Image | ST PETERSBURG TABLE OF CONTENTS
