valve before or after a pressure relief valve. The open end of the piping should be piped to prevent rain water or animals from entering. Pipe discharge should be labeled “Flammable Gas Discharge”. Pneumatic Hardware Connections: Some skids will have pneumatic actuated valves or pumps. These hardware components must be piped back to the air compressor or nitrogen tank that is supplying the pressure to them. A shutoff valve may be desired on nitrogen bottles, so that they can be changed while the system is running. Field Installed Switch / Sensor Connections: Some skids will require switches or sensors to be installed in field run piping. A coupler or half coupler of minimum size 1⁄2”NPT should be welded into field piping at the proper location. Then reduce down to the correct size for the switch / sensor. Remote Mounted Chiller Connections: Skids with remote mounted chillers will require glycol interconnection piping. Interconnection piping for glycol should be constructed from stainless steel pipe. Do not use galvanized piping for glycol. Any devices (ex. flow meter, air bleeder, expansion tank, vacuum relief valves) to be field installed in the glycol piping will be included with the skid shipment.
