6005 Internal Fault FAIL TO ROTATE Fail to Rotate System Severity Level 3 Software reports a fail to rotate fault when the engine speed feedback signal indicates a speed less than 20,000 RPM. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution Engine Rotation Not Detected During Liftoff Generator Leads not Connected Current can be regulated and generator believes it has made handoff, but the speed sensing circuitry detects that engine is not rotating. Tighten generator leads Generator or Bear- ing Failure Remove air filter, press start command, and determine if the shaft is rotating. Replace Engine Speed Sensing Cir- cuitry View engine speed through display panel or CRMS (0.5 second update rate) after issuing a start command. If engine speed is noted then sensing circuitry is operat- ing correctly.
