9012 Internal Fault GDSP BRAKE OTMP Generator DSP Brake Overtemperature System Severity Level 2 Power is dumped into the brake resistors when the DC bus voltage exceeds its brake voltage set point, or when the engine speed exceeds its brake speed set point. The software declares a brake overtemperature fault when the brake overtemperature limit is exceeded. The fault is cleared when the brake temperature is lower than the reset temperature setting. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution The Brake Tempera- ture Reached the Brake Overtempera- ture Limit. The Brake Over- temperature Limit is not set properly Make sure that the power board PM is programmed properly, and it is supported by the installed control software. Re-program the power board PM. Excess off-load operations Adjust the load operation so that no more than 5 times of off-load operations per minute. Increase the time interval between each off-load operation. Open/loose Connection Check the connection between E7, E8 and the brake resistors. Fix any loose or faulty connection. Brake resistors are burned DPC Power Board needs replacing. Replace DPC 9013 Internal Fault GDSP HTSNK SH Generator DSP Heat Sink Thermistor Short System Severity Level 6 The software declares a heat sink thermistor short fault when a temperature translation of greater than a predetermined value is calculated. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution The Generator Has Detected the Short Circuit Condition of the Heat Sink Thermistor. Debris or water in package Check and clean connectors con- necting J8 and J9 of the power board, and J12 of the control board. Check related cables and make sure that they are in good condition. Clean DPC. Faulty DPC Control Board DPC Control Board needs replacing. Replace DPC Control Board (See Document 513176) Faulty DPC Power Board DPC Power Board needs replacing. Replace DPC.
