9011 Internal Fault (Cont’d) Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution The Rotor Position Feedback Does Not Match the Open Loop Speed Position Command (Continued). Short Circuit Exists. With the power off, open the generator box and measure the resistance between A, B, and C Phases (three terminals on the left hand side of the generator terminal) with reference to a Chassis ground. Normally Each should measure 600 kOhms (approxi- mately). Isolate the short condition to the Stator or the DPC. To isolate the short condition to a single component, disconnect the 3 wires A, B and C Phases from the generator terminal block, and repeat the above test. If the short condition is found in the Generator, then replace the Engine. If the short condition leads to the DPC, then replace the DPC. DPC Generator Inductors Check for burned inductors (on the left hand side under the DPC Control Board). Replace DPC Shorted Generator IGBT’s Refer to the Troubleshooting A Micro- Turbine That Does Not Wake Up section and follow instructions for shorted Generator IGBT’s. Replace DPC Generator IPM Power Supply Verify that the IPM Power Supplies have six LED’s illuminated. Ensure that the 13.8 V Power Supply is operating correctly by verifying the LED 500 (red) on the DPC Power Board is illuminated. Replace IPM Power Supply. Replace DPC. Stand Alone System Only Check and ensure that the battery is recharged before proceeding further. Recharge Battery Faulty Engine Use the CRMS (Version 4.19 or higher) and perform Engine rotation test. Remove the air filter and look inside the Magshaft. It should rotate 2.5 times counter clockwise. Conduct the engine motoring test at the 25,000 RPM speed command.
