This Application Engineering Bulletin describes the replacement of an Oil Cooling Heat Exchanger. Procedure: Tools Required: • 5/16’’ Nut Driver * • Oil Pump and 1 Gallon Can * • Lockout, Tag and Try materials • Open End Wrenches • Socket Wrenches • * These tools are found in the Fuel Gas Booster Maintenance and Installation Tool Kit. NOTICE: When reassembling swage type fittings finger tighten the nut on the fittings, then using a back up wrench tighten the nuts one quarter turn. Do not over tighten. NOTE: this is important. If the nut is too loose it may leak. If the nut is too tight the fitting will crack. CAUTION: When installing or removing fittings on the heat exchangers and when tightening or removing any of the swage type fitting a backup wrench must be used to prevent rotation or strain on the heat exchanger or fittings.
