Notice that the voltage rating is displayed on the door of the DMC. Typical DMC Voltage Ranges The DMC will operate within the voltage ranges noted in Table 5. Table 5. DMC Operating Voltage Ranges DMC Operating Voltage DMC Nominal Line Voltage 208 Volts 240 Volts 380 Volts 480 Volts Under Voltage Relay Setting 200 to 220 VAC (± 5%) @ 50/60 Hz 220 to 240 VAC (± 5%) @ 50/60 Hz 380 to 420 VAC (± 5%) @ 50/60 Hz 440 to 480 VAC (± 5%) @ 50/60 Hz The DMC contains an under voltage relay that determines whether and/or when to isolate the Protected Loads and the MicroTurbine(s) from the electrical utility grid. This function operates independently of the protective functions within the MicroTurbine(s). The under voltage relay will isolate the protective loads when any phase voltage of the electric utility grid falls to 85% of the trip setting. The trip setting is adjustable from the front of the relay. Typically, the under voltage trip setting should be set to the nominal line voltage. As shipped the under voltage relay is set to the voltage rating of the specifically voltage-rated DMC. If necessary, the under voltage relay setting can be changed at installation. WARNING The under voltage relay setting can only be changed from inside the DMC cabinet. All sources of electrical power to the DMC cabinet MUST BE isolated prior to opening the cabinet door.
