9000 Internal Fault GDSP CSUM Generator DSP Control Software Checksum Error System Severity Level 7 A software checksum is stored in programming the memory space to verify the program in the memory device is correct and not altered. Often uploaded programs can have memory locations altered when the memory device has been written too many times, affected by abnormal electrical signals, or changed by incorrect write operation. On power-up this checksum is re-verified. The checksum test failure is declared if the software detects that the program in the memory device is not correct or has been altered. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution Generator DSP control software contains wrong Checksum value Previous upload of the Generator DSP software was not successfully done. Try to upload the generator DSP software again. Make sure that the right DSP CRC file is used and the upload process is finished completely. Upload the generator DSP software again. Abnormal electrical signals exist on the ECM Control Board. Check if all the connectors are properly connected. Connect the ECM Con- trol Board correctly. System is not initial- ized properly Try to reboot the system. Reboot the system. Faulty ECM Control Board ECM Control Board needs replacing Attempt an ECM Control Board PM upload. Replace ECM Control Board. 9001 Internal Fault GDSP RAM Generator DSP Processor RAM Test Failed System Severity Level 7 The RAM test failure is declared if the software detects an incorrect read back from any RAM memory location. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution The Power-On- Self-Test (POST) for the RAM is failed Abnormal electrical signals exist on the ECM Control Board. Check if all the connectors are properly connected. Connect the ECM Con- trol Board correctly. System is not initial- ized properly. Try to reboot the system. Reboot the system. Faulty ECM Control Board ECM Control Board needs replacing Attempt an ECM Control Board PM upload. Replace ECM Control Board.
