7000 Internal fault MANUAL E-STOP Manually Initiated Emergency Stop System Severity Level 6 This fault is declared when the manual emergency stop (E-Stop) button is pressed to disable the entire system. NOTE A jumper must be installed on both the Local and Global E-stop connections of the UCB to prevent a manual E-stop condition. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution Open Circuit Detected on E-Stop Circuit User supplied E-stop contact not closed Any user supplied E-stop equipment should be in the contact closed position. Close any user supplied E-stop contacts. User supplied E-stop wiring connections intermittent Loose wiring on user supplied E-stop equipment can cause contacts to open intermittently Ensure any user supplied E-stop wiring is secure at E-stop but- ton and UCB terminals. Local E-stop jumper not installed Every unit must have contact closure between Local E-stop connections on the UCB whether a single unit or MutliPac configuration. Install jumper wire or E-stop switch between Local E-stop connec- tions on UCB. Global E-stop jumper not installed At least one unit must have contact closure between the UCB Global E-stop connections whether a single unit or MultiPac configuration. Install jumper wire or E-stop switch between Global E-stop connec- tions on UCB. MultiPac harness connections Intra-A and Intra-B of the UCB carry the Global E-stop signal between all units in a MultiPac configuration. Check wiring harnesses between UCBs in a MultiPac configuration to ensure they are secure. Inspect and Secure all MultiPac Inter Harness connections between UCBs. ECM Inter harness to UCB Local and Global E-stop signals are carried from the UCB back to the ECM through the J4 connector. Ensure that these connections are secure and wire is not damaged. Secure J4 connection at UCB and ECM. Replace if damaged. UCB Board Connections are made at Global and Local E-stop points but ~5VDC is measured between PB4 and PB5 of J4 on the UCB. Replace UCB Board Continued on next page Observe Safety Precautions - Refer to Safety Instructions for Details 430013-001 Rev C (July 2003) 8-2 Model C60 Troubleshooting Guide This information is proprietary to Capstone Turbine Corporation.
