6029 Internal Warning BATT SUBSYSTEM Battery Subsystem Fault System Severity Level 2 This fault is reported during Grid Connect operation if any BCM fault occurs, except for 12002 (BATT UNDER VOLT), 12025 (BATT CSUM), and 12026 (BATT RAM FAIL). Note: Battery faults during GC operation are not critical to MicroTurbine operation. However, you must decode the battery fault word (via CRMS) to troubleshoot the specific problem. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution MicroTurbine is attempting to perform a GC battery charge (Standby or Load State) A battery fault occurred while in GC operation. (Fault treated as a warning since battery is not necessary for system operation.) Determine which battery fault triggered this warn- ing. Use CRMS Intra Device Fault screen or “ITASTR=4” Follow trouble- shooting method for the battery fault which is indicated 6031 Internal Warning OVRLOAD LOW BAT Low Battery During SA Overload Condition System Severity Level 4 This fault occurs in SA mode during Inverter Power Foldback (Load State), once the Battery Base State-of- Charge percent (SOC%) falls below 40%. This is done to protect the battery. System will drop the load in order to recharge the battery. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution Operating in SA Mode, MicroTurbine can not supply sufficient power to the load application Stand Alone application is overloaded System reports this fault to protect its battery health. Application is undersized for the load. Reduce load demand or add another MicroTurbine in MultiPac configuration. Low battery voltage System OFF for too long. Not recharged properly during previous operation Charge battery (in GC Mode) or allow MicroTurbine to run (in SA Mode) with no load to charge battery. Check the last equaliza- tion charge date Perform an equalization charge Observe Safety Precautions - Refer to Safety Instructions for Details 430013-001 Rev C (July 2003) 7-25 Model C60 Troubleshooting Guide This information is proprietary to Capstone Turbine Corporation.
