6028 Internal Warning FAIL BAT CHARGE Fail to Begin Battery Charge System Severity Level 2 This fault is reported during GC Standby Recharge or GC Load 30-day Recharge, if the BCM does not transition into the Equalization state after two minutes from when it was first instructed. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution Battery Controller does not enter equalization state when requested after two minutes Battery parameters are set wrongly. Make sure that the BCM PM and Battery Pack PM are programmed properly, and they are supported by the installed BCM control software. Re-program the BCM PM. Re-program the battery pack PM. Wrong BCM software Check the BCM software version. Upload correct BCM software version. Battery breaker not closed Verify the battery breaker is closed. Close battery breaker Weak battery Check the battery voltage and state-of-charge. Charge the battery externally Open/loose connections Check cable connections between BCM and the battery Tighten cable connections. Check cable connections inside the BCM Tighten cable connections. Faulty BCM Control Board Circuitry on BCM Control Board has failed. Replace BCM Control Board. Battery Contactor failed Measure voltage across Contactor when BCM is active - it should read zero. Replace Battery Contactor. Faulty BCM IGBT Module Refer to the section on Trouble- shooting a MicroTurbine that Does Not Wake Up. Refer to the section on Troubleshooting a MicroTurbine that Does Not Wake Up. Battery circuit breaker trips open Faulty circuit breaker. Replace battery pack Short circuit in cables. Replace cables Short circuit in BCM.
