1002 Internal Fault MAIN RAM FAULT ECM Control Board RAM Failed System Severity Level 7 A RAM test is performed at power-up to verify the integrity of each memory location. The test is only executed at power-up because most electronic failures occur when a device is initially powered on and not during normal operation.This fault is declared if the RAM test is not successful. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution Data cannot be read from RAM RAM chip has failed No faults are displayed. In Stand Alone mode, the system may power up with display lights on, but no Display, and no RS232 communica- tion. In Grid Connect mode, the system will power up with no display lights or display, and RS-232 communication is not functional. The system may operate fine for some period of time and intermittently shut down. Attempt an ECM Control Board PM upload. Replace ECM Control Board. 1003 Internal Fault CB MEM CSUM ECM Control Board EEPROM Checksum System Severity Level 7 This error is declared if the verification checksum does not verify the contents of the data structure stored in the ECM Control Board EEPROM module. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution CRC of ECM Control Board data structures can not be verified. Cannot verify ECM system data structures ECM system part number on Display or in HWCNFG command reads zero or a false value. Program ECM System EEPROM structures Cannot verify ECM Control Board data structures ECM Control Board part number on Display or in HWCNFG command is a valid non-zero number Program ECM Control Board EEPROM structures ECM Control Board EEPROM device has failed Structures can be uploaded over the communication link successfully, but fail when executing burn command. Attempt an ECM Control Board PM upload. Replace ECM Control Board.
