MODEL 330 – Earlier designation for Model C30 MicroTurbine. MODULE – A functional assembly that is intended to be a major building block of the MicroTurbine generator system. Modules are interconnected with harnesses, plumbing, etc. The module may be removed from the system for repair. Controller, RFC, battery system, and MicroTurbine generator are examples of modules. MTBF – Mean Time Between Failures. A measure of the reliability of equipment. MTBF is only an average, and there is always a risk that any piece of equipment may fail sooner. MULTI-CELL BATTERY – A battery consisting, internally, of a series or parallel array of two or more cells. MULTIPAC – More than one (1) system connected in parallel to produce N times more power (N = number of systems). NA or N/A – Not Applicable. NAAQS – National Ambient Air Quality Standards. NEC – National Electric Code. NEMA – National Electrical Manufacturers Association. NERC –North American Electric Reliability Council. NET POWER – Relates to the power delivered by the system; the power delivered to the user. Net Power accounts for the parasitic losses of the controller, fuel delivery system, etc. Generally, Net Power is expressed relative to ISO standard conditions. NEUTRAL IGBT – Used mainly in stand-alone applications where a current return path is required for unbalanced load. NFPA – National Fire Protection Association. NG – Natural Gas. NIST – National Institute of Standards. Nm3 - Normal cubic meters = cubic meters at 1 atmosphere, 0°C NMHC – Non-Methane Hydrocarbons.
