Capstone Turbine Corporation Model C65 Hybrid UPS User’s Manual 1.3.5. Utility Input Connection The Hybrid UPS microturbine electrical connection to a utility source is 3-phase, 400 to 480 VAC and 45 to 65 Hz (both voltage and frequency are determined by the electric utility grid). Allowable connection is 4-wire Wye. An isolation transformer (L3, 75 kVA transformer for UL certification) may be required, depending on the system configuration. 1.3.6. Power Quality The microturbine output conforms to IEEE 519-1992, IEEE Recommended Practices, and Requirements for Harmonic Control in Electrical Power Systems. 1.3.7. Heat Output The recuperated microturbine can produce up to 591,000 kJ/hr (561,000 Btu/hr) of clean, usable exhaust heat at 309 °C (588 °F). The microturbine exhaust stack diameter is 203 mm (8 in.) in diameter, flowing 0.49 kg/s (1.08 lbm/s).
