PRELIMINARY Installation Notes 1. Mount level within two degrees of grade. The surface must drain to prevent standing water. 2. Secure to mounting pad as required by UBC and local codes. 3. Ventilation requirements: • MicroTurbine: 550 cfm • Electronic Compartment: 1000 cfm 4. Front, side, and rear clearances should be pro- vided for service access. Local electrical codes shall prescribe minimal rear clearance for access to the junction box. 5. The typical sound emission level is approxi- mately 75 dBA averaged around a 10-meter radius. 6. Wiring and plumbing must conform to NEC and applicable local regulations. 7. The Capstone 60 components are rated for operation at ambient temperatures between values of - 20 °C (- 4 °F) and 50 °C (122 °F). 8. Consult NFPA 37 for provisions necessary to route the exhaust away from the unit and away from combustible materials. 9. The enclosure conforms to Type 3R per UL 50. 10. An Emergency Stop device is optional. 11. NFPA 37 should be used as a guide for install- ing the Capstone 60 fuel supply. The unit requires clean dry gas to operate efficiently. Prior to initial start-up, the following related items must be installed: • Fuel gas piping from the supply to the Capstone 60 • A manual fuel shut-off valve for each Capstone 60 • An operating fuel gas filter and filter holder • A pressure regulator providing unrestricted 75 to 80 psig to the Capstone 60 inlet for high pressure operation • A purge valve to allow for purging the gas supply line 12. Approximate weight of the Capstone 60 is 653 kg (1440 pounds). 13. Lift the Capstone 60 using five inch wide fork lift blades. 14. The neutral ground screw and the post-type connector (behind the screw), are both located behind the busbar in the User Con- nection Bay. Both items must be removed when operating in a 4-wire wye Grid Connect mode of operation. 15.
