A closed circuit between these terminals permits Grid Connect operation, an open disallows Grid Connect operation. They are found on J12 in the Communications Bay. 12 11 Terminals 3 and 5 10 Overvoltage Shut-Down A common Grid Connect installation problem results from connections to a supply with excessive impedance. The current generated by the Capstone 60 acts as this impedance to raise the voltage at the terminals of the Capstone 60. If the supply impedance is excessive, the voltage may exceed the over-voltage trip point of the Capstone 60, and the unit will shut down. The symptom of this problem is that the Capstone 60 shuts down due to overvoltage as the output power increases. A transformer for the Capstone 60 may solve the problem.
