Residues from the fuel tend to cause coking in the injectors, and they will therefore need to be removed and cleaned periodically. An exact prediction of when this cleaning will be required is not available. Field experience to date suggests this will be required every few weeks of operation; however the user will need to determine the best interval based on their operating experience with their specific fuel and duty cycle. Residues and deposits from the fuel will also require more frequent fuel filter changes. As with the injector cleaning, the user will need to determine the best interval for filter replacement based on experience with their specific fuel and duty cycle. The fuel pump may need to be replaced more frequently if the fuel Kinematic Viscosity exceeds 5 mm2/s, even for short periods during startup. Refer to the Microturbine Standard Maintenance Schedule (440000) for minimum preventive maintenance.
