Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 • USA User’s Manual: Advanced Power Server (APS) Model 145 User's Manual 2.3.4.4 APS Computer I/O Variables The I/O screen shown in Figure 3 displays the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and IO_SLAVE parameters, as well as the corresponding APS computer I/O variables. Refer to the APS-145 Technical Reference (Table 1) for parameter definitions. From the Turbine Monitor/Control screen (Figure 2) touch the yellow I/O SCREEN icon (see Figure 7 for location) to switch to the I/O screen. The I/O screen has two tables, labeled INPUTS and OUTPUTS. The touch screen controls on the I/O screen function as follows: o TouchREFRESHtorefreshthescreenanddisplaythelatestvaluesinthesetables. o TouchI/OSCREENtoswitchbacktotheTurbineMonitor/Controlscreen. The I/O screen shows the named memory variables in the APS computer corresponding to the PLC I/O, and also to I/O generated or received by an external Modbus master. The INPUTS table contains the input variables, and the OUTPUTS table contains the output variables. Input variables are read from the PLC or Modbus master unit by the computer, and output variables are written to the PLC or Modbus master unit by the computer. Explanations of the table column headings are as follows: Column Heading Description Variable Device ID Register Value Name assigned to the computer memory location that stores the data written to or read from the PLC. Selection of the entry level for a memory category that has multiple entries. The PLC register address that is used by the computer. Data currently in computer memory and the PLC register. 2.3.5. Control Functions Certain icons on the APS touch screen let the user send commands from the APS. These control icons are shown in Figure 13 and described below. o MP Enable/Disable: These icons are used to MultiPac enable or disable the selected turbine. The two icons that indicate MP Enabled and MP Disabled are shown in Figure 12. To disable the selected unit, touch the MP DISABLE icon. To enable the selected unit, touch the MP ENABLE icon.
