Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 • USA User’s Manual: Advanced Power Server (APS) Model 145 User's Manual 2.3.4.1 Operating Mode The current operating mode is displayed in the Operating Mode field (see Figure 7 for location). During normal operation, the field will indicate Stand Alone or Grid Connect. At initial start up, before enabling the system and starting the turbines, the field displays Transition/Invalid. This is also displayed at certain times during transitions between Grid Connect and Stand Alone modes. 2.3.4.2 Faults The Fault State field and Fault State indicator fields on the touch screen (see Figure 7 for location) report any detected faults. Any fault data displayed by these screen objects is the fault data reported from the selected turbine. The Fault State indicator displays the color red, yellow, or green based on System Severity Level (SSL) as follows: o Red: Indicates a fault incident under which the system shuts down to prevent possible damage to the turbine or unsafe operating conditions. o Yellow: Indicates a warning incident that is outside normal operating parameters, but which does not require a system shut down. o Green:Nofaultdetected. The Fault State displays the fault code for the detected fault. A fault code is a number up to five digits in length that is cross-referenced to a detailed fault description, as explained in the applicable Troubleshooting Guide (Table 1). Refer to Troubleshooting (paragraph 5.4) for more information about faults. 2.3.4.3 Status The APS screen uses data display fields and indicators on the touch screen to display the operational status of the selected group or turbine. The status fields and indicators (see Figure 7 for locations) are described below. o PowerOutputMonitor:RefertoPowerMonitoring(paragraph2.3.2)foradescriptionof the power output monitor. o Comm Indicator: The Comm indicator displays the status of the communication connection between the APS and the selected group or turbine. The Comm indicator displays the color green if the communication link is good and the color red if communication cannot be established. o Turbine State: The Turbine State field displays the control state of a selected turbine. This field displays data about individual turbines only. If a group is selected, it displays “N/A.” o Parameters: The parameter fields display data about the operational state of the selected group or turbine. The APS lets the user view the data from up to four parameters at a time on the screen. Use the drop-down list to select a parameter, and data in the parameter will be displayed in the field to the right of the parameter name.
