In order to minimize emissions, a microturbine-based CHPsystem should be sized for and operated as close to full power output as possible. 6.2 EFFECT OF MICROTURBINE INLET AIR ON EMISSIONS RATE7 Special tests were performed at MTG power output settings of 25 and 30 kW to study the effect of microturbine air inlet temperature on the emissions rate of the microturbine-based CHP system. In this test, the air inlet temperature and ambient temperature varied throughout the day and from day to day and season to season, depending on weather condi­ tions.
