Microturbine/FSS Isolation Precautions The following precautions can be used to isolate the microturbine and FSS from input power: The FSS is equipped with a manual lockout valve. The manual lockout valve must be in the OPEN position during normal operation. The manual lockout valve must be in the CLOSED position when maintenance personnel are working inside the microturbine enclosure. Refer to Section 4.1.8 for more information regarding the lockout valve. Remove input power from the FSS Controller (refer to the Kidde Fire Systems Manual in Table 1). Open the FSS Controller and disconnect the internal battery power (refer to the Kidde Fire Systems Manual in Table 1). Conduct maintenance operations in a clean and well-lit area. Handle electronic components using best practice safety guidelines to prevent damage to equipment and preclude injury. 3.
