Pressure Transmitters Air Filter Pressure Transmitter The air filter pressure transmitter is mounted above the air filter in the air inlet section of the enclosure. The purpose of this pressure transmitter is to monitor the air filter to detect any restriction in the air flow through the filter. The high pressure input of the transmitter is open to the high pressure side of the filter and the low pressure input is connected by a tube to the low pressure side of the filter The transmitter is hard-wired to the hazardous location controller for digital communication of the pressure differential. A loss of pressure reported by this pressure transmitter indicates that the air filter is probably getting clogged and needs to be replaced. 480047 Rev.
