Company Sakha-Torg, located in the Republic of Yakutia (Sakha), needed an independent and environmentally friendly source of heat and power. Reliable operation and low maintenance costs were the main factors in making the choice of installing Capstone C60 microturbines running on natural gas. Currently, five Capstone C60 MicroTurbines® with Heat Recovery Modules produce electricity and heat for shopping malls, offices, and warehouses in the region. This cogeneration microturbine system has proven to be safe and a clean source of heat and power in this cold region of Russia.
