Mixture consisting mainly of propane and butane in varying amounts. M330 ñ Model 330 MicroTurbine System. MAINTENANCE - The scheduled or planned event where routine and preventative maintenance is performed. Maintenance may involve the replacement of consumables based on a timetable (hours or cycles). Example of maintenance would be to replace filters every 4000 hours of operation. Also known as preventative maintenance. MAINTENANCE COMMUNICATION PORT (OR MAINTENANCE PORT) - A Dsub25 RS-232 communications port located in the UCB and is available for maintenance and troubleshooting purposes. The port is reserved for the use of the organization that is responsible for maintaining the MicroTurbine. Like the user port, the maintenance port may be connected to a local computer or to a modem for remote operation. The use of the maintenance port is protected by a required maintenance password, and allows additional capability over the user port. (The assumption is made that any person using the maintenance port has been trained by a Capstone-approved maintenance course). MAINTENANCE PART ñ See FRU. MANIFOLD ñ Device using solenoids to distribute fuel among injectors. Each solenoid is controlled individually. MEGAWATT, MW ñ A unit of electrical power equal to one million (1,000,000) watts or one thousand (1,000) kilowatts. MICRON (μ) - a unit of length equal to one millionth of a meter. MICROTURBINE GENERATOR SYSTEM ñ A system comprised of modules, and assembles, and accessories that are configured to provide specific functionality. The modules, assemblies, and accessories are interconnected (via harness assemblies and plumbing etc). MIP ñ Maintenance Interface Port. Mm ñ Millimeter; 1mm = .03937in. MODULE ñ A functional assembly that is intended to be a major building block of the MicroTurbine generator system. Modules are interconnected with harnesses, plumbing, etc. The module may be removed from the system for repair. Controller, RFC, battery system, and MicroTurbine generator are examples of modules. MULTI-CELL BATTERY ñ A battery consisting, internally, of a series or parallel array of two or more cells. MULTIPAC ñ More than one (1) system connected in parallel to produce N times more power (N = number of systems). NAAQS ñ National Ambient Air Quality Standards.
