KRPM ñ One thousand revolutions per minute. Ksi ñ One thousand PSI. kVA ñ Kilo Volt Ampere. kW ñ Kilowatt. A unit of electrical power equal to one thousand (1,000) watts. kWh - Kilowatt-hour. A unit of electrical energy, which is equivalent to one (1) kilowatt of power, used for one hour. One kilowatt-hour is equal to one thousand (1,000) watt-hours. LABEL KIT ñ A group of labels that are associated. Often will be associated with a system function or system destination. Label kits are often included in Country Kits to fulfill the requirements of the country of destination. LAN ñ Local Area Network. LCM ñ Load Control Module (Model C60). LCM INDUCTOR ñ Used to reduce high frequency switching and harmonics in conjunction with filter capacitor and EMI filter. L/DG ñ Landfill/Digester Gas. LF ñ Liquid Fuel. LFC ñ Liquid Fuel Controller. LHV ñ Lower Heating Value (Net Heating Value). LIP ñ Large Industrial Package. LOAD ñ The total amount of electric power needed by customers at any given time. LOAD FACTOR ñ The sum of all hourly loads in a given period divided by the peak hourly load multiplied by the number of hours in the period. LOAD FOLLOWING ñ Load following falls into two categories: 1. Dedicating sufficient generating capacity to the automatic generator control (AGC) mode to allow them to follow load; 2. Monitoring mismatches between intended and actual interchanges between control areas, and transmitting control signals to AGC generators to minimize this mismatch. Both require a system to record mismatches (over-runs and under-runs). LP - Low Pressure (fuel/gas). LP/BB-RFC - Low Pressure with Ball Bearing Rotary Flow Compressor.
