They are the component that mates with the accessory or module to allow electrical connectivity. CONTROLLER - A collection of electronic hardware and software that implements control algorithms. This term is most often applied to the power controller that converts the power out of the generator portion of the engine into power usable by a load. In the most prevalent case, the load will consume 50 or 60 Hertz utility grade alternating current (AC) electricity. CONTROL CIRCUIT ñ A circuit that carries electric signals but not main power current. CORRECTED EMISSIONS - Emissions normalize raw emissions to 15% oxygen in the exhaust gas pursuant to USEPA 40 CFR 60.332: ppm, corrected = ppm, measured* ((20.95-15)/(20.95-O2,%, measured)) ("9 ppm" is the full power design point for THC and NOx, ì15 ppmî is the design point for CO corrected to 15% oxygen on a dry volumetric basis.) COUNTRY KIT ñ A kit or group of parts that supplement the standard configuration. The kit contains unique parts, labels, etc. that meet the requirements of the country that the system will be deployed. CPC ñ Capstone Protocol Converter. A module that provides the ability to use the standard Capstone MicroTurbine RS-232 commands over a TCP/IP network connection, local or wide area. CPS ñ Capstone Power Server. A stand-alone system that communicates with the individual MicroTurbines in a group of up to 100 MicroTurbines, through high-speed digital communication, coordinating and dispatching the MicroTurbines based on the load demand. CPU ñ Central Processing Unit. CRMS ñ Capstone Remote Monitoring Software. CSA ñ Canadian Standards Association. C-TICK ñ Mark for conformance with Australian EMC requirements. cUL ñ The Canadian equivalent to U.S. UL. CURRENT ñ A flow of electrons in an electrical conductor. The rate of movement of the electricity, measured in amperes. DAS ñ Data Acquisition System. DC BUS ñ High voltage, bi-directional link between ECM, LCM and any external device (BCM, FGC) through which power is transmitted. DEMAND ñ The amount of electricity that must be generated to meet all customer needs. ìDemandî and ìloadî are often used interchangeably. DC ñ Direct Current.
