This document is to be referenced when describing the technology, features and/or any documentation associated with the MicroTurbine Generator System. 10Base-2 (10B2) ñ An Ethernet standard that uses a thin coaxial cable. Also called Thin Ethernet, ThinWire Ethernet, and ThinNet. 10Base-T (10BT)ñ An Ethernet standard that uses twisted wire pairs. 100Base-T (100BT)ñ A high-speed twisted pair Ethernet. Also called Fast Ethernet. AC ñ Alternating Current. ACFM ñ Actual cubic feet per minute flow at operating temperature and pressure. AFR ñ Air Fuel Ratio. The ratio, on a mass basis, of air to fuel in the gas mixture that is burned in the combustor. This ratio will vary according to operating requirements such as load demand. AGA ñ American Gas Association. AIR INTAKE ASSEMBLY ñ Assembly that directs engine intake airflow into the MicroTurbine. May contain sound attenuating material to reduce high frequency noise signature; a filter is housed in the assembly to provide filtered air to the MicroTurbine generator. ALC ñ Auxiliary Load Controller. AMPERE (AMP) ñ The unit of measurement of the current produced in a circuit by one (1) volt acting through a resistance of one (1) ohm. The measure of the rate of flow of electrons past a given point in an electric conductor. ANSI ñ American National Standards Institute. AQMD ñ Air Quality Management District. APPARENT POWER ñ The product of the root-mean-square current and the root-mean- square voltage. AR (A/R) ñ As Required. ASCII ñ American Standard Code for Information Interchange. ASME ñ American Society of Mechanical Engineers. ASP ñ See Authorized Service Provider.
