KWK und Dampferzeugung 1. Abhitzedampfkessel: Ein Spezialkessel mit großer Austauschfläche erzeugt den Dampf. Hier sind wir auf ca. 8bar beschränkt. Nach dem Kessel hat die Abluft immer noch ein hohes Temperaturniveau, so dass eine Niedrigtemperaturauskopplung für den wirtschaftlichen Betrieb erforderlich ist. 2. Abhitzedampfkessel und Kanal-/Flächenbrenner: Im Grunde wie 1., nur dass die Turbinenabluft zusätzlich aufgeheizt wird. Das sorgt für höheren Dampfertrag bzw. höheres Druckniveau. 3. Kombikessel oder 4.-Zug-Kessel Ein in den konventionellen Kessel integrierter Abhitzedampfkessel erzeugt insbesondere die Grundlast (z. B. mit 1xC200 ca. 230kg/h bei 6bar). Bei höherem Dampfbedarf feuert ein Brenner in den konventionellen Kessel. 4. Spezialbrenner: Hier wird die komplette Turbinenabluft als Verbrennungsluft genutzt (Lambda=1). Dies ist möglich, da die Turbinenabluft einen Sauerstoffgehalt von ca. 18% aufweist. Der Kessel kann bestehen bleiben, lediglich der Brenner wird erneuert (Retrofit).
