Brescacin, Engineering & QA Manager PHONE: (519) 451-0310 Ext 143 EMAIL: FontanaC@kochind.com FAX: (519) 451-0310 There is a high temperature exhaust gas limit problem with the gasket material on micoGenTM units when used with Capstone MicroTurbineTM model C60 units. This applies only to units shipped prior to November 1, 2001. The exhaust gas entering the micoGenTM from the MicroTurbineTM typically is about 640°F and can go as high as 700°F. The gasket material specified for these micoGenTM units is not suitable for continuous operation above 600°F. A design modification has been developed to correct this problem on products already installed on Capstone MicroTurbineTM model C60 applications. Owners of these micoGenTM units will be contacted by Unifin to arrange a time to implement the design modification. In the interim, Unifin requires that such micoGenTM units not be used until the problem has been corrected. Please direct any questions about the above to our Customer Service Department.
