Subject: Affected: Abstract: Description: Corrective Action: Shutdown Command All “Charlie” units with version 2.0 or earlier control software. In grid-parallel mode, if you issue a “Power Disable” command, followed by a “Stop” command, the unit will fault and shut down, usually without the cooldown cycle. The fault will usually be “FAST BUS OVERVOLTS”, or “UNDERSPEED”, or “OVERSPEED”. This is caused by a problem in the control software up to and including version 2.0. You can determine the control software version in your unit via the “Configuration” menu on your control panel. It will be on the menu line “LCI CODE X.X[.X.X]” Note that this is not the BOOT software version, which is also available via the same menu.. The next software release will eliminate this condition. . Until then, when you shut down your turbogenerator, use the “Stop” command only. The software will automatically disable the power output and then shut down normally. The “Power Disable” command should not be used.
