Capstone Date: Subject: Affected: Abstract: Capstone Customer Service Toll Free 1-(877) 282-8966 www.capstoneturbine.com SERVICE BULLETIN November 13, 2000 Scheduled Maintenance on Liquid Fuel Units Capstone Model 330 Units Using Liquid Fuels Scheduled Maintenance Needed to Prevent Fuel Leaks and Damage to the MicroTurbine System Description: Check all fuel fittings for leaks every six months and whenever it is convenient. Empty the drain tank after every three starts to prevent fuel pooling inside the MicroTurbine engine. Corrective Action: 1. Every six months and whenever convenient, pull out the cart and check as follows: • Starting from the fuel inlet connection at the back of the unit, check all fuel fittings and connections for fuel build-up and leaks through the filter, fuel pump and valves, and through the whole system. • Unscrew and pull out the lowest of the four (red) plastic leak (or weep) hole plugs on the fuel pump, and check for any signs of fuel build-up inside. • Look for any fuel build-up on surfaces of components and assemblies where the fuel can drip and accumulate. 2. Empty the drain tank after every three starts, through the drain valve at the back of the MicroTurbine unit.
