Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 Service Bulletin SB0064: Model C60 Software Version 4.22 Release Notes Features Included from Version 4.02 1. Added CHPMTR (CHP Diverter Motor) command to allow ICHP operation without a linear actuator. 2. Fixed the SETDEF command to initialize ICHP values to defaults. 3. Tuned CHP gains for better temperature control and more robust system operation. 4. Added a CHPFBK command for ICHP feedback monitoring. 5. Changed ICHP high and low temperature warnings to report at or above/below 10 °F difference. 6. Allowed for customization of the maximum and minimum values associated with the electrical power demand and water temperature feedback functions for the Analog Inputs. (No customization provided for CHP Flow function.). 7. Changed the default water overtemperature fault limit to 120 °F (was 220 °F) based on customer service safety recommendations. Features Included from Version 4.00 1. Added Integrated Combined Heat and Power (ICHP) features. Refer to Model C60 ICHP Technical Reference (410043) and Model C60 ICHP Application Guide (480007) for details, as required. Features Included from Version 3.95 1. Refer to software improvements under Version 4.04 Updates. 2. Added a new SPV25 valve position scheme for 2-point calibrated valves. 3. Improved surge-TET computation by adjusting resolutions. 4. Adjusted start and cooldown schemes to reduce the presence of combustible exhaust mixture in the ducting areas, after multiple failed start attempts. Features Included from Version 3.94 1. Added ability to change polarity on Fault Inputs for use with relays. Prior to this change, to trigger an external fault input, the Fault input terminals had to be closed (shorted). This continues to be the default polarity. With this change, the user is allowed to set the polarity so an open circuit between the terminals would indicate an active fault, i.e., ACTIVE OPEN. To support this setting, a new display setting, OPEN/CLOSED, is added to Fault Inputs 1 and 2 submenus. The value can also be set through the RS232 command INPFLT. The command has been updated such that there is an additional parameter at its end that is used to specify the value for the polarity setting (Ø for Active Open, 1 for Active Closed). For example, the user can program Fault Input 1 using the following command: INPFLT = 1,1,3,12Ø,Ø This command translates into: Fault Input 1, Enabled, SSL3, 12 seconds, and ACTIVE OPEN (Normally Closed). 450038-001 Rev B (June 2004) Page 3 of 5 This information is proprietary to Capstone Turbine Corporation.
