Introduction This document provides information on kerosene filtration, and instructions for adding the Capstone’s external liquid fuel filter kit with the Model 330 MicroTurbine. Affected Capstone Model 330 MicroTurbine installations using kerosene as the liquid fuel. Summary If an appropriate inlet fuel filter is not used with kerosene fuel, then it is possible that the fuel pump on the MicroTurbine will fail in a relatively short time and void the product warranty. Capstone requires the addition of an external two-micron or finer filter with 98% or higher efficiency, to eliminate premature failure of the fuel pump, in the fuel system within the MicroTurbine package.
