Safety Precautions Only Capstone Authorized Serviced Providers (ASPs) should open the MicroTurbine and other equipment connected to the MicroTurbine. The systems can include multiple sources of power. The fuel used by the MicroTurbine is flammable and explosive. Keep flames, cigarettes, sparks, and electrical arc-producing equipment away from the MicroTurbine. Observe and adhere to all Capstone safety instructions. Summary This service bulletin is intended to remind Authorized Service Providers of the maintenance that must be performed on MicroTurbine fuel systems and ensure that ASPs perform the required leak checks on Capstone MicroTurbines’ gaseous fuel systems. Work Instructions 440000 has been revised to include the 40,000 hours scheduled maintenance along with several updates to the standard maintenance schedule. Required Action Capstone requires that scheduled maintenance be performed in accordance with the Work Instructions 440000, Rev. K or later. The Work Instructions have been revised to require that the entire gaseous fuel delivery system, from the fuel inlet to the injectors, be leak checked periodically. Responsibility It is the responsibility of Capstone to provide this document and Work Instructions 440000 to Authorized Service Providers. It is the responsibility of the Authorized Service Providers to contact the customer and perform scheduled maintenance in accordance with Work Instructions 440000, Rev. K or later.
