Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 Service Bulletin: DMC Relay Update – Model 330 MicroTurbine Wiring Changes on User Connection Board (UCB) Two different types of User Connection Boards may be encountered – the current version which is identified as UCBEE (509705), and the previous version, identified as UCBE (508598). To identify the circuit boards, remove the cover from the Communications Bay and observe the part number near the lower edge of each circuit board. Note: On the Control Wiring Diagram (see Figure 2 or 4), the existing wires to be disconnected are shown as dotted lines and are crossed out, and new connections are identified with the word “New” next to them. On the Control Wiring Schematic (see Figures 3 and 5), the existing items to be disconnected are crossed out, and new items are identified with the word “New” next to them. Changes on UCBEE (509705) Refer to Figures 2 and 3 as required. 1. Remove the two wires from terminals TB5-5 and TB5-6. Insulate both wires using wire plugs or electrical insulating tape. Note: These wires may not be in positions TB5-5 and TB5-6. In this case, remove connections to the solid-state relay that is programmed as “CONTACTOR CLOSED/LOAD Active Open” (which were previously connected to the DMC terminals 11 and 13). 2. Remove the wire from TB5-9 and connect it to terminal TB5-11. Remove the wire from TB5-10 and connect it to terminal TB5-12. Note: These wires may not be in positions TB5-9 and TB5-10. In this case, remove connections to the solid-state relay that is programmed as “SA Active Open”, (which were previously connected to the DMC terminals 12 and 14). Connect these wires to terminals TB5-11 and TB5-12. 512772-001 (Sept 2001) Page 5 of 12 Service Bulletin SB0024..
