Introduction This document provides information for adding a relay to the DMC used with the Capstone Model 330 MicroTurbine. Affected All Dual Mode Controllers with part numbers: 509921 and 510594 through 510600. Summary It is possible that a failure of the electronic controllers inside the MicroTurbine (or the master MicroTurbine in a MultiPac) can prohibit the protective loads from being energized by the utility power. Servicing, software upgrade, or rebooting the system may also cause the protective loads to lose power. The addition of a relay inside the DMC solves this problem by allowing the protective loads to be energized by the utility power through the DMC, regardless of the state of the MicroTurbine. 512772-001 (Sept 2001) Page 1 of 12 Service Bulletin SB0024.
