Summary On the Model C30 Liquid Fuel MicroTurbine systems, it is possible to install the Drain Solenoid (509777-0XX) on Drain Tank (513294-0XX), with the inlet and outlet ports reversed. The inlet and outlet ports are etched as IN (for inlet) and OUT (for outlet) on the body of the Drain Solenoid, next to the two ports. The correct orientation of the Drain Solenoid is with its outlet port connected to the Drain Tank (refer to the following figure). Failure to install this component in its correct orientation can prohibit fuel from draining out of the engine when the drain sequence is commanded. This will allow fuel to puddle in the engine and could result in poor emissions, excessive smoke, and potentially uncontrolled ignition during the next start attempt. Capstone recommends that the Drain Solenoid be checked and verified that it is installed correctly, during the next scheduled visit.
