Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 Service Bulletin 53: C60 Silencer Improved Sealing As a recommended solution, Capstone is providing a replacement kit (610061-1XX) of steel and rubber washers with increased diameter (0.75-inch to 2.25-inch) for improved sealing. The replacement kit doubles the quantity of rubber washers, with the additional washer added to the underside of both front and rear mounting feet. The Silencer replacement kit is as follows: C60 Silencer Replacement Kit (610061-1XX) Part Number 515132-0XX 515133-0XX Nomenclature Quantity Rubber Washer 0.5 x 2.25 OD 8 Steel Washer 17/32 x 2.00 OD 4 Recommended Actions Perform the following actions to replace the existing eye-bolt hardware: 1. Unscrew the four (4) lifting eye-bolts from each corner at the top of Silencer. Retain the eye-bolts and red fiber washer for later installation. The metal and rubber washers can be discarded. Corner Eye-bolts (2 shown) Support Block Location 2. Lift one end of the Silencer and place a support block under the main enclosure near the edge to elevate and support the Silencer weight. 3. Verify that the Silencer is oriented such that the right-angled mounting feet appear at the front of the MicroTurbine, and that the position of the side facing mounting feet is toward the rear of the MicroTurbine.
