Summary Capstone has introduced the Dump Valve Outlet Filter Assy, part number 528156-001, as a reliability improvement to eliminate dump valve discharge as a potential source of foreign object damage (FOD) to the engine. Required Action The dump valve filter must be field-retrofitted on serial numbers 5703 and lower (it is already installed on C1000 series system serial numbers higher than 5703). For commissioned systems, install dump valve filters on all bays immediately. For those systems not yet in operation, install filters prior to commissioning. Installation instructions are provided in 440283, C1000 Dump Valve Filter Retrofit Work Instructions. Capstone will ship filters free of charge for all affected serial numbers, you do not need to order this part.
