Observe all safety precautions to prevent Injury or death. Required Tools ! 7/16î Wrench, Quantity: 2 ! 5/8î Wrench ! 11/16î Wrench ! 12-Point oî Socket and oî Drive and Extension ! oî Torque Drive Set to 45 in-lbs ! LPS Penetrating Compound ! Nickel-based Anti-seize Compound Procedures The replacement instructions are comprised of the disassembly and assembly procedures. 1. Shut down the engine and wait for approximately three hours. 2. Spray the Injector bolts with penetrating compound. Wait for five minutes. 3. Spray the Injector bolts with penetrating compound again. Wait for five minutes. 4. Remove fuel lines using the 7/16î wrench. Support the manifold insert using a 7/16î wrench. 5. Remove the air assist lines using the 11/16î wrench. Support the manifold insert using the 5/8î wrench. 6. Use the 12-point oî socket, drive and extension to remove the four Injector bolts. IMPORTANT: If any resistance is felt while removing the bolts DO NOT PROCEED! Spray more penetrating compound and wait. Due to the thermal expansion in this region, removal of Injector bolts can be difficult. 7. Replace the Injector. Make sure the Injector is installed in the correct orientation. 8. Do not re-use bolts! 9. Apply nickel-based anti-seize compound to the threads of the new bolts. 10. Insert bolts and tighten using fingers. 11. Use the 45 in-lbs torque drive to tighten the bolts. DO NOT over tighten. 12. Add a nickel-based anti-seize compound to the threads on the Injector nipples. This is IMPORTANT. 13. Re-install the fuel and air assist lines making sure to re-install the crush gaskets. 14. Turn on power. 15. Turn on the fuel supply. 16. Initiate an engine start. 17. Visually check the fuel line and manifold connections for leaks. 18.
